We have been working very hard to present the hopes, dreams, passions, experiences, skills, knowledge and wisdom of Spirit Australia here on this page, in answer to the question "Why?" but it is still a work in progress...

 

It's not that we don't know why, it's that our answer is so long it probably needs to be a book, not a web page!

We do know the time is right. Spirit Australia has grown over many years, drawing on the expertise and experiences of our ancestor organisations and spiritual teachers. We now have the people and resources all beautifully moving into place, and we are delighted that this wealth of spiritual inspiration has become an awakened powerful reality.

 

We are ready. We want to share our "Why?" with Australia, and the world.

Let's start with just one important statement:

​

Spirit Australia members understand the reality that we are permanently spirit, living temporarily in a physical body. 

 

There is far more to life than just this physical world. Unfortunately, our modern society has a really hard time accepting this. We are taught from a very young age to dismiss any experiences that don't have a basis of clear, hard, logical facts as "imagination". 

​

But what about the people who are happily going along in their regular lives, when something unexplainable or unbelievable happens. What now? How does this fit in with what society says, and with our usual view of the world around us?

​

When it comes to spiritual and psychic experiences, it can be hard to figure out what's real and what's not. We can't rely on the physical senses through which we usually perceive this world. And that can make us vulnerable. Sadly, it's true that some people in the world will take advantage of others who are vulnerable, perhaps in grief, perhaps hurt or lonely or lost. 

 

What we experience in our three dimensional world is real. That's true.

 

And if someone begins exploring the spiritual nature of life, there's no need for conflict of information, or crisis of faith. It's all pretty simple really.

 

There's no need to discard what we already know.

We just expand this awareness with additional information.

 It's not a case of the practical & logic-driven Physical Real World vs the emotional & belief-driven Energetic Spirit World.  

​

How do you start your sentences? Do you say "I feel that things might..." or "I wonder if things might..." or do you generally stick with "I think that things might..."?

 

It's not a choice of one OR the other.

 

It's just plain one AND the other. 

​

It's BOTH together at the same time.

​

Sounds easy enough, don't you think?

 

Easier said than done. We are trying to design Spirit Australia education so it allows people to expand their awareness in a way that best suits them. Let's be honest, in our current society, it's not the done thing to walk up to someone and say "Hey, isn't it great that we don't actually die when our bodies do"... 

​

We want to talk about a lot of things. Big things.

 

Remember, the fact that we don't actually die changes everything. Yes, everything! Happiness. Stress. Individual Purpose. Life & Death. The Placebo Effect. Who we are, and what we're actually all doing here. Our bodies, our minds, our souls. Our connection to ourselves and each other.

Everything is Connected

​

More and more, people do speak about "everything being connected". Usually it's some vague and pleasant statement, with not much practical power in realistic terms.

​

But it's true.

 

We are all connected. Far more than we think.

 

And people can think a lot.

 

Our thinking is generally encouraged to be far more imporant than our feeling, our sensing, our being.

​

We are all connected.

​

Western science has now proven that even trees communicate with each other. They can do it underground, via fungus and electric impulses. Planted by random falling seeds, if too many small trees sprout up in a confined area, the whole group chooses then nourishes only the young trees best situated to keep growing. Nothing is lost. No tree is isolated, or fearing for survival. Each individual tree is not just a tree, it is part of the forest.

Many indigenous human cultures around the planet have known these simple truths for millennia. We are here to experience, to live and learn and expand, and to contribute our unique contribution back to the whole.

​

We are not the raindrop, or the wave.

 

We are the ocean.

​
